Some time ago I blogged about starting some paintings on hot pressed paper while attending a Ted Nuttall workshop. I finally finished one of them....or at least I am just 'totally done with it'. Hot pressed is still a challenge, but does not leave me as flummoxed as before. Artists always struggle with knowing when to stop. In this case, I may have taken it too far since I think I like the earlier version better than the completed one. Getting darks in is still a challenge....especially when glazing. But I have learned enough to press on with the other painting.
